At the May Police Commission meeting, F.O.R.D (Friends of the Reserve Division) recognized the winner of the 2023 F.O.R.D $250 Scholarship. This year's recipient, Claire Williams, is a Brownsburg High School Senior and plans to attend Indiana University, and pursue a law enforcement career.
BHS Seniors have the opportunity to apply each year for this scholarship if they choose a career path in law enforcement. Members of the F.O.R.D group review applications and
essays. There were six applicants this year. Claire is the first female to win the scholarship. BPD Chief Joe Grimes and BPD Reserve Sgt. Kim Kiritschenko presented a certificate.
