Annual Hydrant Flushing Helps Protect Critical Infrastructure

Brownsburg Water Utilities will spend the spring and summer months inspecting fire hydrants in Brownsburg beginning in April. The process involves flushing water through the hydrants, ensuring the lines are clear of particulates that build up over time.

“Our crews will work around the clock, inspecting hydrants and valves for operational issues. This is important work to ensure this life-saving equipment is ready to be used when needed,” said Frank Monts, Water Superintendent.
