Brownsburg residents looking to make a difference by having a voice in the Town of Brownsburg's future are invited to apply for a position on one of the Town's nine boards and commissions.
"We are looking for people who are passionate about our Town and who are committed to working hard to provide residents with a great quality of life," said Town Council President Travis Tschaenn.
Applications are available online. Applicants must be a Brownsburg resident.
Applications are accepted year-round and kept on file, as vacancies sometimes come up throughout the year. The Town of Brownsburg actively recruits and interviews in December.
Board and commission meetings are held monthly at Town Hall, 61 N. Green Street, and are open to the public. The meetings are live-streamed and are archived on the Town's website.
Board members and commissioners generally serve as unpaid volunteers. Still, members meet other residents with similar interests, learn about the Town, and help shape Brownsburg's future. Being on a board or commission requires a significant commitment, however, so applicants should consider their ability to commit their time before applying.
