K9

The Brownsburg Police Department K9 units are assigned to the Enforcement Division.  It is comprised of three teams. Each team consists of an officer and his loyal canine companion.  The K9 Unit has become a great asset to the officers of the Brownsburg Police Department and the citizens of Brownsburg.

Kai

Kai has been with the Brownsburg Police Department since 2001.  Kai is trained as a dual-purpose narcotics detection K9.  Kai is currently assigned to PM Shift.  Ofc. John Maples is Kai’s handler.

Ezop

Ezop has been with the Brownsburg Police Department since 2003.  Ezop is trained as a dual-purpose explosive detection K9.  Ezop is currently assigned to PM Shift.  Sgt. Joe Grimes is Ezop’s handler.

Tjsa

Tjsa has been with the Brownsburg Police Department since 2004.  Tsja also served 2 years with the United Drug Task Force.  Tsja is trained as a dual-purpose narcotics detection K9.  Tjsa is currently assigned to AM Shift.  Ofc. Steve Crowe is Tjsa’s handler. 

Manu

Manu has been with the Brownsburg Police Department since 2007.  Manu is trained as a dual-purpose narcotics detection K9.  Manu is currently in training with the Indianapolis Metro Police Department.  Ofc. Derek Heller is Manu’s handler.
